Ludwig Göransson – “The Book Of Bobba Fett” (2022)
Det låter onekligen som att Ludwig Göransson lät sig inspireras av en klassisk filmatisering av Astrid Lindgren när han skapade musiken till nya Star Wars-serien ”The Book of Boba Fett”.
aldrig hört den musiken förrut cool The month of November is dedicated to the Holy Souls in Purgatory. The Church commemorates all her faithful children who have departed from this life, but have not yet attained the joys of heaven.
St. Paul warns us that we must not be ignorant concerning the dead, nor sorrowful, ”even as others who have no hope … For the Lord Himself shall come down from heaven … and the dead who are in Christ shall rise.
The Church has always taught us to pray for those who have gone into eternity. Even in the Old Testament prayers and alms were offered for the souls of the dead by those who thought ”well and religiously concerning the resurrection.” It was believed that ”they who had fallen asleep with godliness had great grace laid up for them” and that ”it is therefore a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead, that they may be loosed from sins.” We know that a defiled soul cannot enter into heaven.

Prayer to our Sorrowful Mother for a particular grace:
O, mother most holy and sorrowful, Queen of Martyrs, you who stood by your Son as He agonized on the cross; by the sufferings of your life, by that sword of pain that pierced your heart, by your perfect joy in heaven, look down on me kindly as I kneel before you, sympathizing with your sorrows and offering you my petition with childlike trust.
Dear Mother, since your Son refuses you nothing, ask of His Sacred Heart to mercifully grant what I ask, through the merits of His sacred passion, along with those of your sufferings at the foot of the cross.
Mother most merciful, to whom shall I go in my misery if not to you who pities us poor sinful exiles in this valley of tears? In our name, offer Jesus but one drop of His most precious blood, but one pang of His loving heart. Remind Him that you are our sweetness, our life and our hope, and your prayer will be heard. Amen
Hail Mary, Full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to your protection, implored your help or sought your intercession, was left unaided. Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto you, O Virgin of Virgins, my Mother. To you do I come, before you I stand, sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in your clemency, hear and answer me. Amen

What a complex world we live in, to survive we need to know the ways of the world and struggle to get by each and every day. We also have to face sharp tongued adversaries who mock and taunt us often through gossip! Is our Lord not present in their lives? How long shall we endure? What other hardship is coming our way?
Father! Help me! Come to my aid, make haste and come! Come Lord Jesus come! Come Holy Spirit come! My simple heart cries out to You and I know you will surely come, for You are a faithful God who loves me dearly.
So Yes Lord, You are above all in my heart and so I will forgive everyone who hurt me. For You forgave us from the cross for we did not know what we were doing! I will likewise forgive my sister and brother. For I know You are far from those who do not have mercy in their heart; and so, I cling to You by forgiving all those who have sinned against me. Bless them Lord as You have blessed me.
Through Your loving grace, let my faith grow this and every day. Amen

Wisdom 1:1-7 ·
Seek the Lord in simplicity of heart
Love virtue, you who are judges on earth,
let honesty prompt your thinking about the Lord,
seek him in simplicity of heart;
since he is to be found by those who do not put him to the test,
he shows himself to those who do not distrust him.
But selfish intentions divorce from God;
and Omnipotence, put to the test, confounds the foolish.
No, Wisdom will never make its way into a crafty soul
nor stay in a body that is in debt to sin;
the holy spirit of instruction shuns deceit,
it stands aloof from reckless purposes,
is taken aback when iniquity appears.
Wisdom is a spirit, a friend to man,
though she will not pardon the words of a blasphemer,
since God sees into the innermost parts of him,
truly observes his heart,
and listens to his tongue.
The spirit of the Lord, indeed, fills the whole world,
and that which holds all things together knows every word that is said.

Luke 17:1-6
If your brother does wrong, reprove him
Jesus said to his disciples: ‘Obstacles are sure to come, but alas for the one who provides them! It would be better for him to be thrown into the Sea with a millstone put round his neck than that he should lead astray a single one of these little ones. Watch yourselves!
If your brother does something wrong, reprove him and, if he is sorry, forgive him. And if he wrongs you seven times a day and seven times comes back to you and says, “I am sorry,” you must forgive him.’
The apostles said to the Lord, ‘Increase our faith.’ The Lord replied, ‘Were your faith the size of a mustard seed you could say to this mulberry tree, “Be uprooted and planted in the sea,” and it would obey you.’What We Want Isn’t Always What We Need

One Saturday afternoon, the Lord blessed me with an earthly milestone. My heart was filled with gladness and gratefulness as I looked back on the previous chapters of my life, remembering how it was and is now. But before I started to think of more pleasant thoughts, the Lord made me aware of the snares that could come along with any blessing. So I prayed and asked the Lord to keep me grounded for I know, by His grace, the tendencies of the human heart to boast and glory on the blessing more than the One who blesses.
Monday morning, I suddenly found myself burdened with worldly cares. It came all of a sudden when I least expected. A care that has not troubled me for quite some time now comes back with an even heavier load. I started to feel weary and worn and thought that things could have ended differently if only wise decisions had been made in times past.
“If only” was the beginning of the statements that came into my mind, without realizing that in doing so, I have been questioning God’s sovereignty as to why things are. All that has happened in this world is God-ordained and asking myself with “ifs” is another way of questioning God as to why He allowed these things to happen.
Troubled and anguished, the Lord comforted me by making me realize that this is His answer to my prayer.
The Lord’s answers to our prayers aren’t always covered in fine gold. They aren’t always in the way that we have envisioned them to be. In granting us material provisions, we see that it is only Him who gives our daily bread. In the success that He gives with whatever our hands find to do, we come to know that unless He blesses our work, all our efforts will be in vain. In filled barns and storehouses, we would realize that it was only Him who sustained all that we have therein, for at any time He could allow a calamity to happen that will empty all that we have stored up.
In pruning us by going through trials and tribulations, we come to develop endurance and perseverance, allowing our faith in the Lord to grow, for seedlings would never grow without some rain. In mundane worries and cares, we are reminded that this world is not our home, that a new Heaven and Earth await us on the Last day, and that the Lord’s presence will be with us who believe in Him for all eternity. There will be no more sorrow and He will wipe away every tear from our eyes (Rev 21:4).
We often ask the Lord for what we want, but He knows what we need. He does that which is right in His sight for our good and this may take some time for us to understand. But having a right biblical view of who God is gives us great comfort and assurance in knowing that He is God — Almighty, Sovereign, Ruler of all — and He cares about His people.
These promises of God in the Bible are for those who believe in Him and call upon His name. Have you truly believed in Him?
Repent and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins and for the salvation of your souls.
Soli Deo Gloria!
